I loooooove your Five Things wrap ups, my friend.

And oh, how you capture things in words with nary a picture needed. You are an artist bar none.

"Lightning? Headlights? Jesus?"

I love the way you both shared and did not share. I am going to play with this form this week.

Blessings to you with your new grandchild 💛

This is delightfully creative, Tresta!

It is my belief that where beauty and goodness go, truth will inevitably follow. You’ve told the truth here, even without it being the focus. Lovely.

You've restated the thesis of my life: "It is my belief that where beauty and goodness go, truth will inevitably follow." Yes! Thank you, Christie ; )

I so strongly empathize with the running into the door thing. I did that last night — it was pitch dark, because of course the baby is still in our room. I forgot something and had to run to the bathroom, and usually I’m great at navigating in the dark… the thud woke the baby up, which was really much worse than the injury (thankfully she went back to sleep). I suppose I would have woken up if someone had crashed into a door five feet from my head too.

Congrats on the new grand baby!!

It's just so rude, the fact that we can't see in the dark. Dumb laws of nature. ; )

What a delightful post, Tresta! And I'm equally delighted to hear of grand baby boy's arrival. I've been thinking of you all and even checked old posts for an approximate due date. Enjoy every moment of being IN the story!

I’m so glad you found the courage to write for pure play because this was delightful!

I will admit, I swallowed a little lump in my throat thinking about the birth of a grandchild “leaving a mark” and imagined all the wildly beautiful moments unsaid here. Congratulations! 🩷
