Tresta, I listened to the audio option of part one and part two on my drive to work this morning. Because Roseburg is my hometown, and Camas Valley is home to people I love, this is near and dear to my heart, and I just thank you so much for sharing it!
Maybe down the line I'll have something more concrete. I've always wanted to launch an arts/bookshop/event space for my town - kind of that hub we talked about before. In some sense, I'm waiting for the right opportunity to do so. Who knows when it will show up, so I'm just keeping my eyes open and my mind on.
Brave is close cousins with ignorant though, isn’t it?! Thanks Laura. It blesses me to think about the folks who have witnessed this from afar and cheered us on.
Tresta, it's so bright and beautiful! Good for you sticking to the espresso-or-bust philosophy--so glad you won that one.
I think you need to add m o r e to this story/saga, friend. Those of us who watched the process and read your posts on IG know there was a lot more going on and it would be encouraging to hear. But that's just me.
Not bored at all, and can't wait for Part III. (Also, I fully endorse dying on the hill of good coffee. Yes and Amen.)

I forget about that connection, Sheila! Thanks for listening along, and loving this place and its people.
Waiting eagerly for part III! Not boring at all!
Thanks, Maria!
This is soooo inspiring. Thanks for sharing this story.
Yep, sometimes you just have to open the ding-dang thing and let what happens happen.
Y'all are rock stars in my book. This is community service at its finest.
LOVING THIS. Thank you for sharing!!!
This is so cool, and also wildly inspiring. I have so many ideas...
Thanks Chris. I’m half curious and half scared—are your ideas for your own life…or for our deli menu? 😅
Haha, for my own life, for sure!
I'd love to hear the ideas this sparked for you ; )

It's not boring! I think it's exciting.
I’m glad, Jennie. Thank you.
These posts are fun to read on this side of things. I remember watching all this unfold and just thinking how brave you all were. Still are.

You go, team Payne!
I’m sure it will pop in and out of my writing for years. It’s been very transforming, and that stuff can’t help but be written about! Thanks, Jody.
Loved it
I’m loving reading your story in all this. I love the small town and am nostalgic for places like this 🥰. Can’t wait to read next weeks ❤️
Thanks Rachel ❤️
