I’m excited to read more of this story. Your description of your husband reminds me of mine. Sometimes I call him the most pessimistic optimist I know, but really he just has a deep faith that God’s got us. And while sometimes I want to yell, “how????” I’m so grateful for this gift of his.
It's so good to have that balance in a marriage. I see a lot of his qualities in our youngest daughter, too, and I see how wonderfully fit she is for the job she does.
Thanks for being excited for the story ; ) I fear it's boring and removed for most people, but it's been so good for me to write it out in one place.
I for one am thrilled you're telling this backstory, Tresta, having seen the pix and heard the stories bit by bit on IG. What a testimony to God's faithfulness and character--and to yours and Tim's. And your kids. Well done...can't wait to read part two.
I admire your bravery! We've talked about starting a third place for years--in our case, a makerspace--but so far haven't gotten it off the ground. So needed in our world today, especially rural communities!
We'd like to provide tools and space that would be hard for people to afford on their own. We'd sell memberships and hopefully be able to offer some scholarships as well. We'd have some community events. It would be a place that would help people start small businesses and network, share skills. But we have so many big ideas, I'm not sure that one will ever happen.
Specific and universal--thanks for that, Megan. It's been a joy for me to write it out but I fear I'm going to bore people. But I love reading about Port William, so why not Camas Valley?!

p.s. It is Tim, right? :-)
Yep, Tim! Thanks for the encouragement Jody.

A makerspace! Tell me more, that sounds marvelous, Jennie.

This reads like a chapter in a novel, Tresta. I've wanted to know this story for a while. I can't wait for the next chapter!
Thanks Callie ; )
I am so glad you are telling us this story—not only for our sake, but for yours too. Like Port William, this is specific and universal.
Love that 1 Samuel verse!

I love this. And can't wait til you continue with part 2.
Thanks Linda ; )
