The most eagerly anticipated book of the decade(s). Books take the time they take, and? your writing will be/is richer for all the sidetracks, detours and very long deep potholes along the way.
It will be well worth the wait, my friend...and I cannot hink of a better hand-holder than Kris Camealy....
I am not in Heart to Page...I wanted to jump in when she started a couple years ago but the fall has always been extra busy because of volleyball. Buuuut part of the changes in our living situation mean that I had to step down as head coach, so my fall will *theoretically* be more open. I'd love to do HTP with an eye to the next book ; )
The hand-holding is real. And I feel like I need several different types of hand-holders: emotional support hand-holders; editing hand-holders; quit your whining and do the work hand-holders.
I signed up for it this fall! I've wanted to do it for a couple of years, too, and this year I feel like I will have a little more time to commit to it!
And, I love how - in the course of seeking things out to collect in my newsletter - I find things that I truly end up remembering. Your essay on grief and losing your dad (in Fathom) was one of those. It's actually how I came across your writing, and was so struck by it.
I am so glad my latest book didn't come out when I started it -- a good ten years earlier. I'm glad it didn't come out even one yesr earlier than it did. You will be so glad you took the time needed. Looking so forward to reading your unnecessarily beautiful words 💛
I remember when I first read your words all those years ago when blogging was king, and I knew your voice was special. I cannot wait for this book to find its form and get into my hands! God’s timing is always perfect, so we will celebrate the time that went into honing the voice and words and all the love and angst that went into this book. So happy for you!

What a high compliment, coming from someone who reads and processes so much. Thank you, Haley.
