Your partial solutions idea is reminding me of a woman I met over a decade ago who was only going to live in our town for the next 2-3 years due to job requirements. She immediately became a member at our church and starting helping in a Sunday school class. I was so delightfully surprised by her enthusiasm in embracing such a temporary home that I asked her how and why she didn’t just wait to invest in the place she would be in longer term? She said, “My forever home is in heaven; everywhere else is just temporary.” 🔥 I think it relates to what upped thinking about here. 🙏🏻

That is beautiful! Absolutely. We haven’t changed churches but the long drive feels like hospitality is a little harder. I love this story though—there doesn’t need to be angst about “where”. Here is where!

My partial solution is writing a book under imperfect circumstances and trusting that God will honor my obedience.

Is that your art journal? With the "hello sun in my face" line? That is gorgeous! I didn't know you did stuff like that. Me too! Me too!

Also, I love those painting books. I have two and try to work on one every day. They are so much fun.
