Really wanted to

Ignore my flaws,

Enjoy my quirks,

Nod in agreement with all my complaints,

Doubts,

Stresses;

For all the trouble

Real and imagined,

In my head in real life;

Every wise word you’ve spoken -

Needful, needy -

Doing the work of the evangelist in my life;

Saving.

For every phone call that is 

Really a favor, and you answer

In season and out;

Every prayer prayed and 

Need noticed and

Daily mundaneness shared;

Surely…

You are my best friend. You are my balancing half. You are the spring of all God’s blessings to me on earth, and my partner through years that leave us grey.
